Supported holidays

Supported Trips & Holidays

For many of our members, being part of Arctic Squad is about much more than the time they spend on the ski slope.

As the club develops, we want to provide opportunities for members to enjoy supported trips and holidays, both in the mountains and further afield.

Our aim is to help members build confidence, independence and friendships while experiencing new places and activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Ski Holidays - Andorra 10 - 17 January 2027

One of the most exciting parts of developing as a skier is having the opportunity to take the skills learned at home onto the mountains.

Arctic Squad plans to organise supported ski trips to European resorts, giving members the opportunity to experience skiing on snow and continue developing their skills.

Depending on the individual and the particular trip, support may include qualified ski instruction, assistance from parents or carers and access to adaptive equipment where required.

Family members and carers can also be part of the experience.

For some members, a ski holiday may simply be about enjoying the mountains and having fun. Others may want to use the opportunity to develop their technique, become more independent or experience different types of skiing.

Our holidays are booked through a specialist tour operator who has years of experience of running assisted ski holidays. www.absolutelysnow.com. All holidays are full licensed and protected by ATOL 11090 and ABTA Y6400

More Than Skiing

We would also like Arctic Squad to provide opportunities away from the ski slope.

Future supported trips could include destinations such as Lanzarote ( 12 to 19 June 2027), giving members the opportunity to enjoy a holiday together, experience new activities and develop greater confidence and independence.

Activities could include swimming, boat trips, excursions, days out and simply enjoying a holiday with friends and other Arctic Squad families.

The emphasis will always be on the individual.

Wherever possible, members should be able to make their own choices about the activities they want to take part in, with appropriate support available when it is needed.

Building Confidence & Independence

Every Arctic Squad member is different.

For some, travelling away from home or taking part in a group holiday may itself be an important achievement. For others, it may be an opportunity to become more independent, try something new or spend time with friends away from their normal routine.

Our approach is to encourage members to do as much as they can for themselves while making sure appropriate support is available.

New experiences. New friendships. Greater confidence.

And, most importantly, having fun along the way.
